fellow mesa peeps. i have a Roadster i got second hand, have had for just over a year now and last few band rehearsals the volume has been increasing by its self (over a 2/3 hour period) as time goes on with out me touching it.. i should add it is a US version and i am in Australia so i do use a stepdown tranny, i do run a pedal board in the loop. Could it be power tubes ? i would have thought it will loose volume if the PTs are on the way out ? any ideas/suggestions welcome. Next jam i plan to not use the board at all and just go guitar into amp and see if anything is different.. could it be a pre tube ? very odd.

not surprised no one has anything to add/suggest. Mesa themselves have no idea too..it can sit in storage till i can afford to have it looked at.

That's somewhat interesting. Do you run it in the BOLD mode or in Spongy? What brand / model of preamp tubes do you have in it? Have you checked the voltage coming from the step down transformer to see if it is constant?
