Thats good. Tubes are always the first thing to check, even if the tubes in there are basically brand new. Always a chance one of them faults out or fluctuates. For Mesa, their amp design is the last thing im gonna blame.

Also

Use Chinese tubes in V3... it's a cathode follower tube and the Russian ones don't hold up in that position.

I may be wrong here, but I was having issues and this solved it. Also, keep your reverb on in the channels you notice the dropout with.. even if your level is set to 0. It will help.

The problem is there is too much stuff to switch on these amps and mesa drops the power a bit to avoid a big pop... if you have the reverb on, it doesn't do the volume drop as much.
