So I play guitar but I am currently in a cover band playing bass. I have a Roadster and I also have a 1500 watt ALTO PA amp.

My question is can I only use the slave out into the power amp and then into bass speakers? I do not want to plug anything into my normal speaker outs on my Roadster. I essentially only want to use the preamp on my Roadster with only the slave out being used. I have heard not having a load on the speaker jacks is a bad idea. Will just slaving out cover this?

The flow would be ...
Roadster (slave out - no guitar cab used) -> ALTO 1500 power amp -> (Some variety of bass speakers here). Although I am thinking of not bridging and just going into one side of the power amp for around 600 watts.

This would give me a really cool 4 channel bass amp with plenty of power. Plus I would not have to invest in another amp.

Thanks,
Donnie

I think you would have a much better time running the bass direct into an EQ and the PA without the guitar amp at all. The tone stacks on the Roadster are not designed for bass and you will fight them the whole way.
