Roadster chassis problem

I just got my Roadster head back from the Mesa repair guy, and everything sounds fine. He said he had to take apart the chassis, and now a couple of my knobs are catching on the black grill- Channel 1 and Channel 3 presence knobs. Is there anything I can do about this without having to take it back to the repair guy (120 miles roundtrip)? It looks like the knobs only need a couple millimeters of clearance. Thanks!

sounds like he might have just tightened it a little too much. i'll let one of the guys who knows more about it talk to you though.

take it out and carefully reposition the chassis so the knobs don't touch the grill.

mine did that the first time i took it out of the cabinet to scope out the guts.
i put it back and my output knob was grinding agasint the metal grill.
i just unscrewed it, and moved it a tad.

Also, If the knobs still hit, loosen the set screw in the knob(s) and try pulling them away from the face a bit.

I did try this, but I have to pull the knobs far enough out so that they don't grab on well enough.

How do I go about repositioning the chassis? When I look at the head from behind, is it the screws that go downwards by/behind the tubes?

All this repositioning talk makes me nervous, I hope its easier than it sounds because I really can't be driving 120 miles to the nearest Mesa repair man every time I have a little problem with my amp... but everyone, thanks for your help!!

i'm not that familiar with the roadster, so let one of the other guys confirm, but i know on my dual rec, if you look on the bottom, you'll see 4 screws that go up into the amp. those should be the ones if it is the same as a DR.

I tightened the screws on the bottom as much as I could, and it gave me a few millimeters of clearance. Now all my knobs turn, but a few catch in a couple of places... not a big enough deal for me to worry about. Thanks for helping me out!
