Hey - I am willing to pay for someboy to explain channel switching on the Roadster and the settings on the G System to get it to work well. I am baffled. I have the right cables I believe, and I can get the channels to switch in some bizarre combination, but not anything useful, and I sure as hell can't figure out how to get them on one at a time, alone, and do this with all four channels.

Anybody with a clue I would really appreciate a lesson or two. If you have Paypal I will throw you some cash to make it worth your while.

Hey Joe

There are two ways to switch the channels on your Roadster using the G System. The way I do it is using midi and an Axess Electronics CFX4

( a separate midi switching box). When I first purchased the Roadster I was under the impression that you could not use the Relays on the G System as the Roadster needed isolated grounds. Since then I have heard of several people who use the relays and I have tried it and found that it works fine ( I still use the CFX4 for channel switching and the Relays to activate the boost feature on the Roadster).

You need two 1/4-inch TRS male to 2x1/4-inch male like the ones on this page

The TRS ends plugs into the G Systems SW1 and SW2 out jacks and one mono plug goes into each EXT SWITCH jacks on the back of the Roadster (marked CH1, CH2 Etc )

For each preset on the G System you can set the relay configuration to switch on a specific channel. The G System will allow you two save two different configurations for each relay setting (ie A and B ) and you can assign a button on the G to switch between these two settings if you want.

So what happens is you choose a preset.... the Relay configuration that you saved with the preset determines the channel on the Roadster and away you go. There is some more info here if you read through this thread.

Let me know if you need more info
