I am sure this has been asked before. I am a new Mesa Boogie owner and went stright to the roadking. The foot controller however takes up most of my pedal board. Has anyone had any luck using and alternate controller of any sorts?

Cheers!

Not really. The only other things I've seen that are capable of controlling all the RK functions are all large midi switching systems :/

I am using a couple of Boss dual footswitches. That gives you four relays to control something on the RK. Channel one is the default so I have the foot switch plugged into channels 3 and 4. I also use the other footswitch to control a loop and the solo function. I you want to get crazy, you could get 4 foot switches and be able to control all the functions. But then, you are getting into mucho pedal territory again. I plug what ever I need for that particular gig. The other option, which I am setting up at the moment, is a Line 6 M9 into a Mini Amp Gizmo into the RK. You don't have to use an M9. You can use some type of Midi foot controller. There are a number of them out there. The nice thing about using the M9 is that I can change my patches and the channel on my RK at the same time. No more tap dancing. My next deal is to get a T.C. Electronics Nova Drive and get it to change the presets with Midi also. Good Luck.
