This is the original series. I've been playing this in my cover band for 5 years, and am due for a change. There's nothing wrong with this amp, it sounds great. Tubes were replaced this year and have less than 50 hours on them.

Progressive Linkage means you can assign each of the 4 channels different output tubes. This beast has 2xEL34 and 4x6L6, and you can assign 2, 4 or all 6 tubes to each channel. Each channel can be rectified by tube or diode.

The only issue is the rectifier selection switch shaft broke off on channel 1, which means it's "stuck" in diode mode (which sounds better for clean anyway). The switch is soldered to a board, so replacing it proved too risky for me. It's not a big job for qualified tech, though. (see 3rd pic).

Comes with the King Kontroller footswitch, and cloth cover.

According to the Mesa Web site:

Our patented Progressive Linkage™ provides 5 different all-tube power amplifiers to harness in any combination to four preamp channels creating – not a cyber mock-up, but the real, authentic circuits found in classic amplifiers.
MAIN FEATURES

1. 4 Fully Independent Channels / 12 Modes: Ch 1 = Clean, Fat or Tweed™, Ch 2 = Clean, Fat or Brit, Ch 3 & 4 = Raw, Vintage or Modern High Gain
2. Multi-Watt™, Channel Assignable Power Amp with Ratings of 50, 100 & 120 Watts!

I want to get $1600 for this amp. Local sale preferred, like I said, it's a beast.

Email/PM me with any questions, or offers.

I'd say if the diode is not fixable maybe ask 1000-1200 tops. You can't assume that the diode is in the best interest of the buyer

Good luck to you on selling the amp

There is nothing wrong with it - just the switch shaft.
You can probably toggle it with a screwdriver, or pay $50 to get a new switch put in.

yea so you are buying a used damaged Roadking one for 1650.00. When one thing happens to a Roadking the possiblity of more damage is always possible.. I own one and I have paid the repair bills

They are selling Roadking II's for around 1800.00 just trying to let you know what to expect my friend.

good luck with the sale

Thanks, I guess I should have checked with you before I placed my ad.
My bad. I wasn't aware this board had a a pricing consultant.

I wouldn't say RKII's are going for $1800, but instead as low as $1800. You can still get over 2k for the RKII's. There are 2 RK's on CL near me. One for 1350, the other for 1699. But with this one needing a small repair I say $1400 is a fair price.

You guys seem quite bothered by a little piece of broken off metal.
There is NO internal or electrical problem, just a switch with no shaft.

But just to show I'm fair, if I get my price , I'll get it fixed and looked over by Savage Audio and include the receipt as proof.

If anybody has specific questions about anything realted to my amp, please PM or email me.
On the other hand, if you're not interested in buying an amp, please don't post on my thread to complain about stuff that's irrelevant. PM me instead. Or move on.

You post on a message board to sell a head not in perfect working order and then you suggest it is "better with the diode on anyway"

Im only replying to offer some help in getting this RK a new home and get you the cabbage.. I am in the cause of good business.. I dont bother with the effects.

tough board.... hey man, I got my butt kicked over bad english in the classifieds one time.

the new cleans... Actually the Roadking one has excellent cleans but if you can improve them why not? I do like the idea of 2 series FX loops.
