let me know how you guys are using your rhy 1 channels with the mark 4.just looking for some ideas.

Nos Sylvania or RFT in V1, Gain 10, channel 4-6, Master 5-8, Simul, Pentode, Full. Thiele ext. cab, BB Pre, Boss EQ or EQ on footswitch for more options but with the 5way switch and volume knob on the guitar it's pretty much covered already.(except for boost) Very touch sensitive and dynamic. Roll back gain for a bit more chime. A splash of the Mark reverb is a nice touch as well. R1 is a great channel. I am fortunate to have this amp.

I gotta try this setting, I've always had RHY 1 purely for clean sound, how does this work in a band setting?

gwad! our sound guy would be bitching a blue streak if I used those settings!

For Me: R1 is my clean channel for oldies and slow songs with on board verb.

When I want old time lead sounds without too much dirt I might come close to maxing CH1 Gain but usually at around 5-7.

My master output has never really gone above 2 much on this little monster. I almost always run class A tweed - no pedals.

I LOVE my Mark IV.
