Reverb question

Hi,

In playing a Fillmore I noticed when master volume is at zero and the reverb is on there is still sound coming through the speaker. The volume of the thin, raspy tone coming through the speaker can be controlled by the reverb knob. When dialing reverb to zero the amp is dead quiet. Dialing up reverb makes sound, even though master is at zero.

Is this normal for this amp or is something defective?

Yes it is normal. Thought I'd follow up and post here in case some future person searches for this topic.

Got some feedback (not the musical type) from Mesa and it seems the MASTER control is before the reverb circuit, so a bit of reverb. So, this is why a bit of reverb can be heard when the MASTER is at zero. Even when the channel MASTER is off there can still be a bit of sound heard.
