reverb prob with studio 22+

Hi all,

I recently noticed a problem with the reverb on my Studio 22+. It cuts in and out randomly. One minute there is the correct reverb corresponding with the setting (ie; if the reverb is on 0 there is none, if it is on 3 there is slight reverb) then for no apparent reason it goes on full. There is no movement provoking the change, it just does it every 30 seconds or so.

I tried re-seating the valve with no change.

I recently put a new reverb tank in it because a wire came off the transducer in the last tank and everything has been for the last 6 weeks until now.

Any ideas?

I pulled the chassis out and checked it over. I had the mid pot replaced at the same time I got the reverb tank changed and it seems the tech forgot to solder the earth wire (that runs through the pots) back onto the reverb pot and it was just resting there.

I re-soldered and problem solved.
