hey

I'm used to having reverb on my clean sound and its the only thing my new DR is missing . I've never owned a reverb pedal before as my other amps had it .

Any you guys recommend ? And I'm happy to spend the cash . I like higher end stuff pedal wise .

The Boss RV-5 is very good, actually - the 'Spring' and 'Modulate' modes particularly.

If you're using *only* reverb in the loop, you're probably best to set the Effect Level on the pedal up full, and control the amount with the Mix pot on the back of the amp. That way you won't lose any of your amp's natural direct tone.

cheameup,

Two things to keep in mind, whichever reverb pedal you choose.

1) Reverb always goes last in the chain, right before the signal returns to the amp.

2) Setting the pedal to 100% wet signal and using the amp's loop mix knob works well in preserving as much unaltered tone as possible.....but it only works if the reverb pedal is going to be the only pedal in your effects loop chain. If you use any other pedal in addition to the reverb, you will need to set the mix on the pedals themselves and keep the amp's mix knob set to maximum (90%...you can't get 100% wet on the amp's mix knob).

Reverb doesn't always have to go last in the chain. In fact, on the Tremoverb as on many other amps with built-in reverb, the reverb is *before* the FX loop, so all the loop effects come after it. I actually prefer this, since it means the reverb is phased/flanged/chorused/delayed/filtered/whatevered, which makes it much more interesting and 'organic' sounding. If you want reverb-as-a-simulation-of-being-in-a-big-space, as opposed to part of the amp's sound, you can add it afterwards at the desk - modern digital reverbs sound pretty good for that.

Neil Young runs his old Fender tube reverb unit *first* in line, before the signal even hits the amp...

Thanks for the tips all. I would most likely run it in my loop after my vibrato but before delay . I remebered I have an old ibamez analog dely( the pink one that is reissued now as the maxon) and I set that up to a reverbey setting and it sounds great . think I'm gonna try sticking to that and see how it goes
