Well, today I retubed my F-50 with the typical set of tubes that doug gives out..
winged =C= SED 6L6GC's
V1 - Tung-Sol 12AX7
V2 - high gain JJ ECC83S
V3 - Penta Labs 12AX7C
V4 - Sovtek 12AX7LPS
and all I can say is that it REALLY cleaned up my gain, more articulation in the notes and it stopped the background hiss or whatever you call it. however.. I was playing at really low volumes, so I will come back tomorrow to tell you how does it sound cranked :twisted:
