Rescuing a Mark III

I have a line on a Mark III Short Head that is missing it's reverb pan. I'll make a wild assumption that I can get one from Mesa, but...

Is there anyway to check the reverb circuit, before I jump into this with my hard-earned and quickly shrinking discretionary dollars?

Cant you use the reverb pan from one of your other boogies?

You should be able to pull a Reverb Tank from one of your others for a day to test it.

You could also call Antique Electronic Supply, www.tubesandmore.com and order a replacement and some cables. It might not hurt to have a spare anyway.
