Replacement rectifier for Lonestar Special?

Anybody replaced theirs, and what would you recommend?

There have been lots of threads on failure of 5y3 in LSS. Apparently there is a factory mod now available through mesa certified techs to take care of it. In the meantime, obtain a vintage old stock 5y3. They are better made than the currently made ones. The new production ones can't handle the power section's current requirements. If you scroll back a page or two on thread topics within this section you should be able to find them pretty easily.
