I'm trying to remove my 1992 Mark IV out of its short chassis case so I can stick it in a rack, and the thing won't budge!

I removed the top 4 screws and it moves about a half inch towards the rear but then just gets stuck, it won't budge beyond that point. I don't see anything in the way.

What am I missing here, folks!!??!!

Not sure about this model but many Mesa amps have a bolt somewhere near the middle of the chassis that extends past the top (or bottom) of the chassis and presses against the cabinet to add stiffness and reduce vibration. Worth a look anyway! Good luck.

Well, to get it out I had to remove the corner metal pieces and pull back the covering. Then I had to actually take a razor and cut away some of the glue/wood.

Then she pulled right out.
