Hey guys,

I am converting my Mark IV Widebody Combo into a head. I have been trying to remove the chassis but I am having one heck of a time! I removed the four chassis screws holding it in. Should it just slide out or is a bit of muscle required?

Yes, slides right out. Put your entire amp on it's side (my preference) or upside down. And the tubes should be out (or at least the power tubes because they're large and can get in the way). Now wiggle the chassis out. It may be stuck on the foil on the inside-top of the cab, or maybe just fused a bit to the tolex (soft) that's stapled into the inner edges. But apart from the 4 chassis screws, there is nothing holding in that chassis.

Everything was unplugged prior to removing the chassis screws. I turned it on its side and managed to wiggle it out. It appeared to be caught on something. Thank you both for your help!
