Removing Reverb Tank for Better Tube Access

Anyone do this?

I want to tube roll again because one of my tubes is going flat (it is adding a really high end fizz that wasn't there a few days ago), but I don't want to remove the chassis from the head cab.

Would leaving out the reverb tank have any possible negative side effects? Less support, rigidity?
