Removing my amp, MKIV

Hey,

I'm going to remove my amp (MKIV) from the shell. To take it to get some work done.

What should I do to not get shocked and such¿¿¿

Unplug it. And don't stand in a puddle of water while doing it. Also don't stick forks in it while plugged in. Actually this all pertains to toasters. Never mind.

Just leave unplugged for a few to allow caps to dissipate. I'd pull the tubes prior as well.

Someone will certainly correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall something about playing a few chords with the amp unplugged from the mains but with the power switch in the 'on' position in order to discharge the caps.
