Great to hear everyone is OK. Wow! As much as it sucks, gear is replaceable ( for the most part), family is not. These are those obsticles that really make you appreciate life more and really not take anything for granted. I'm glad to see you have the band together again! That may be just the right thing you need right now. Whew! :shock:

I blew a fuse today.

Stuck another one in, powered it up, noticed one of the middle power tubes was arcing and powered it off. Installed a new set of power tubes and zero issues since.

All of about 5 minutes down time.

...here's is a testimonial for you-my Mark FIVE survived an EF-FIVE tornado...it was upstairs...its one of the few pieces of gear that made it...my equipment was upstairs and to the right....when I made it back the next day, the MV was sitting there on the floor-it was knocked off of a cabinet, but it was fine after a good clean up-plays like it always has...now, if only Mesa would use this in an ad......Randall???are you feelin' me??

Dude! Seriously, we're all glad you and your family are ok. Sorry to hear about the gear, not to mention all of the other things you may have lost in that storm. Best wishes on getting back to a normal life as soon as possible.

lesterpaul, crazy pic and story! Glad you and the family are all unharmed. The gear got punished, but at least you have your Anderson and Mark V still. Wow.

Mesa makes some of the best music gear on the planet. I've owned a whole bunch of Mesa amps and only ONE has needed any repairs. It was the footswitch relay on a Rectoverb combo. I was trying to hook up a Series I footswitch when it happened so I'm assuming it was my fault. Otherwise, a bad tube here and there, but to be expected!

Wow. I'm just speechless.

You and your family are very fortunate to have survived. Houses can be rebuilt.

::emails post to boogie::

I don't even own a Mark V but nearly spit my coffee out when I read your post, lesterpaul.

Glad you and your family are ok.

And Don I hope you did email Boogie about that post!!! That is a Mesa add!!!

The tornados have been bad around here the last couple years. The last one missed my home by less than half a mile. Wiped out 20 homes.
My heart goes out to you.

thanks for the thoughts,guys...I am starting the appraisal process on the gear tomorrow....it kind of brings it all back, but it makes us stronger, too
I had posted this last month in off topic, but it is worth posting again-this vid is THE example of what the MK V can withstand...
this was captured from the prison, which is about 2 miles from my house-I am sure if you look close enough, you might see a few Strats and Les Pauls imploding-this was RIGHT after it whacked us-and we made it out of the house alive...****

I will keep you cats posted on our recovery-you guys are the best(I tried my best not to hijack...this is,after all, about reliability...so why not post the ultimate windtunnel test-you can't recreate this in Petaluma!! :) )
