hey guys; i've been doing some recording with my MARK V and I would like to try to go direct into my interface from the Mark V and use my redwirez cab emulators. What is the best way to do this?

Get an attenuator that has a DI output that would go to your sound card.

Or, use the FX send and don't connect the FX return. Just be sure to keep your cab hooked up for the speaker load!

Page 6, Mark V Manual:

A SLAVE OUTPUT and SLAVE LEVEL Control allows you to capture the full sound of the MARK V, both preamp and power section,
for a feed to processing racks and/or additional power amps (perhaps MESA Stereo Rack power) for big venue applications.
NOTE: Always start any SLAVE hook-up procedure by zero-ing out the SLAVE LEVEL Control to avoid possible damage to your
speakers or your ears! In fact it is good practice to leave the SLAVE LEVEL Control set to 7:00 (OFF) when it is not in use to avoid
accidents.

I use the line out from a hotplate. It was less noisy than the mark's slave out and I also like to record silently.
