I've got a line on a 1-2 Rectoverb combo for $425. Seems like a no-brainer to me . Any comments?

For 425 I would expect it to be a bit beat up and in need of repair (or it's hot). If it is in that shape, the price is good enough to leave room for repair.

A combo in really good shape goes for around 799.00 tops (I have seen some custom covered ones for 999.00)

Is it a series 1 or 2?

Not sure if it's a 1 or 2. Everything works except reverb (couldn't care less). Looks good in a photo and has the footswitch.

Okay, picked it up today. It is a Series 1. Overall, it's easily 9 of 10 condition. As stated earlier, the reverb doesn't work but that doesn't bother me because I don't use reverb. The footswitch has typical wear from use, which doesn't bother me either because it works fine. The speaker was changed to a Celestion G12K-100. Not sure if that's a plus or minus. The clean channel can get super bright, but overall I like it a lot and plan to use it primarily with my Fulldrive 2 and OCD for the dirt. The lead channel I'll have to work with. I haven't gotten it where I want it yet, but I haven't even looked at the owners manual and I know how interactive Mesas are.
This purchase was to give me an extra amp outside my normal practice space and for $425, I'm pretty dang happy.

I have a 9/10 or better on CL for $575 and my lowest is $550. I have had offers of like $300, $400, $450 that I have declined.

I told these people that they should do the research before they know what they are trying to buy. Piss me off

TRUST ME That amp rocks and worth the Money. $300 for a killer Mesa Boogie, give me a break!!!

I went back with a MKIII, one is my bros. He got one the week after he heard mine.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. My "other" Mesa is a Mark-III blue stripe EVM-loaded w/ hardwood cab. Never selling that one.
