This is the Rectoverb Series 1 head I just bought. I'm actually having some issues with it (it seems to be stuck in Vintage mode, and the gain seems way lower than it should be (based on the Single Rectifier I used to own)), but I actually still love the tone. This is clean boosted with a TS-9. The guitar is a Gibson Les Paul Traditional Mahogany.
I don't have a cabinet any more and I live in an apartment, but my recording rig is the Rectoverb's FX send into my interface being used with impulses (and a dummy load on the Rectoverb's speaker output). I did that with my old Recto and loved it, and have been wanting to do it again since. Now I am! This is with a RedWirez Mesa 4x12 V30 SM57 impulse.
Anyway, here's a simple, short little riff I whipped up and recorded just to try it out again. The mix is a bit bloated but I think the tones are pretty decent, especially since I didn't spend more than a minute dialing them in. I'm actually not much of a metalhead, but metal riffs are fun to play on Rectos, of course.
