Anyone in a band using both of these?

I have my wife talked into letting me purchase a Stiletto, which will replace my 5150. I'm just wondering how they sound together, or if they will be fighting each other.

I think the 5150 + DR sounds great. I dialed in a great Chevelle-ish tone last week at practice, but I'm a little apprehensive about the Stiletto. I know I played one when they first came out and loved it.

Any opinions?

Better than a 5150 + DR though you think?

Yes. We used a Recto + Stiletto combo in the band for about a year, sounded great. You both carve out a nice niche in the sound.

Granted that my Roadster and 5150 go great together, my Roadster and Stiletto is utter WIN...

Devin Townsand use's a Recto, Stilletto set up, or at least he used to.

I do Roadster and Stiletto aswell.

IMO, it is the perfect match.

The Roadster does lows and saturation. Sounds REALLY mean.

The Stiletto does the mids and highs, with an AWESOME crunch.

Put it together, and it becomes a wall of sound! Everything is filled up, without the amps fighting...Makes for a massive, but very clear tone. Remember...the Stiletto was designed to do this with a recto ;)

Also, the Stiletto fills out the things that the Recto does not do well...for instance, cleans are awesome, and the leads are the best I've played on an amp. IMO, the 5150 does a good different rhythm sound (it doesn't excel at cleans or leads), which is what a rectifier is also made more. You'll get much better contrast with the Stiletto. When running a two amp rig, you want to compliment...not overlap similarities.

I think you'll be blown away by the Stiletto/Recto combo!
