Okay guys, not been on here in ages but I have a dual rec. which I bought in the states when I lived there. unfortunately it was damaged on the way home :( the headshell cracked at one side. The amp works a dream still but well....too delicate to be taking out to gigs because of the headshell.

I was wondering if anyone knew the going rate to buy a dummy empty headshell from mesa was in the uk these days??

Call Westside in Glasgow for a quote (probably exxxxxpensive!)
Another option is to contact board member gts who was making excellent "replica"
headshells. You'll find many members have bought theirs from him.

Just off the phone to westside dist. quoted me £370 for an empty headshell. Will need to place my order by the start of February and the shipment will take 8 weeks!! If I dont order it on their deadlines then for them to ship in an individual headshell it will cost £370 + 50% :S £555 for an empty wooden box.........

Hopefully the insurance will cover it but its just a matter of getting it processed quick enough for the feb. deadline. They guy was really helpful and said he would try his best to knock some off if I have to pay for it myself.

Watch this space, there might be some Mesa recto parts heading out :)
