Hey guys....Boogie says that when using a Recto (Tverb) power section as a poweramp, you should be in the vintage channel with no cloning. They say it's to assure a more neutral power sensitivity.

My question is, does that mean it might not be ok to use the Red channel instead? Because for the first time, I just ran my Quad into the tverb's power section, but I was on the red channel and it sounded a LOT better. The entire tone was thicker, cleaner, and tighter. The Vintage orange channel usually sounds good, just a bit more loose feeling.

Nothing at all wrong with using the Modern Channel this way, other than the master vol is VERY touchy and the amp is LOUD (there's no negative-feedback loop in the modern mode)
