Hello,

im running my Mark V with the 2x12 Recto vertical. Sounds great. (V30 + Cannabis Rex)
I have chance to get a used 4x12 Recto. Somewhere i ve heard they can sound muddy or flubby.
Anyone has that experience?

I have a Marshall 1959 Ceriatone on the way so i want to use the 4x12 also with that.

thanks

They can sound a little muddy/flabby if you have a tendency to run your bass too high... particularly with a Recto.

A Mark V doesn't put out near the same amount of bottom end as a Recto and is a much tighter sounding amp to begin with, so mud hasn't been an issue and the Recto 4x12 actually thickens it up a bit.

It's been a long time since I last used a Plexi, but it sounded really good with that amp too.
