Howdy.

So i sold my older 2x12 Recto Cab this morning, and then picked up another 2x12 cab, that has the newer jackplate on it...the one with 8ohms out, and a Parallel out (my older one only had an 8ohm out).
My question is,

how does this Parallel out work?

does it mean I can go out of my amp, 8ohm out, to the 8ohm in of the 2x12 cab, then out of the parallel out to my 4x12's 8ohm in?
(and this doesn't mess with ohmage or power handling)?

or does it mean some other way of connecting it all together?

It's the same as plugging in directly to your amp.

In other words, 8 ohm cab + 8 ohm cab = 4 ohm load.

So what's the point of it then? that doesn't make sense...if I take the 4ohm out to the 2x12 cab, then the parallel out to the 2nd cab, 4ohm input, that doesnt seem right...
because them i would be only taking 1- 4ohm output from the amp.

??

Some amps only have 1 output for each impedance. OR, you might want to run a set of four 2x12s @ 16 ohm each.

But, for the most part, it doesn't really do anything special.
