HI everyone,
I have a problem with my Rectifire recoring pre-amp, and according to one of my friend's suggestion I signed up here to get help.
actually my pre-amp doesn't make a noise at all, it's looks like that it's on standby, I live in iran and there is no mesa dealer here, and I'm not able to post it to another country, I'm pretty sure that all tubes are okay, and everything looks fine in it, but it doesn't make any sound, is there anyone who knows how can i fix it, or what is the problem, i was recording with it 2 days ago, and everything was fine, but yesterday when i turned it on, I found that it's not working.
thank you all

i'm not familiar w/ that piece... does it have an effect loop or any other send before the "main" output? if it does, see if there's any signal coming from them.

yes it has, and i checked that too, it has 2 Live out - 2 record out - send and return - and a modern out for power amp, i checked them out , but there is no signal

are there any good general electronic techs around your area? of course a certified mesa tech would be best, but it doesn't sound like you have that option. if you take it to a local guy, just make sure they have a good reputation. if it's something basic, they should be able to figure it out...

yeah I don't have that option, and I'm searching for the guy, but I wish I was able send it to a mesaboogie repaire station :(

If it just died like that it is probably a tube... do you have extra tubes you can try?

I don't have extra tube, but finally I contact with the mesa company and they offered to replace the tubes, I guess you'r right I have to find tubes, I hope it works. Thank you for the comment

That should be the first thing to try. Don't replace all the tubes at once when you get them! Try only V1 first, then only V2, and so on. It is rare for more than one tube to go bad at a time.

Good luck man, how is the music scene in Iran?! Post a myspace or website if you have one, that would be cool...
