rectifier FX loop question

Are the FX loops in Mesa Rectos buffered? When it's switched out of the signal path is it completely gone from the signal path?

When the loop is set to BYPASS, it is completely out of the circuit...and so are the master output and solo boost functions as they are part of the loop return. When the loop is active (set to a CH# or FTSW) it is in the circuit even if it is footswitched off or nothing is connected in the loop.

But when the loop is active... is it buffered? I think most loops are buffered and I doubt the Rectos are any exception... anybody know?
