How does the pushed mode on the Dual Rec compare to the tweed mode on the Roadster? Judging by clips I've heard on youtube the pushed mode on the Dual Rec cranked has as much or more gain than a JCM800 (although they are completely different amps). By cranked I mean all dials on 10.

How much gain does the brit channel on the Roadster have compared to classic marshall amps like the Plexi, JCM800 and JCM2000?

thanks!

I have the Dual Rectifier.
While "all dials on 10" would sound like garbage on the DR, I think it's probably the sweet spot on a Marshall.
Two completely different amplifiers.

While the DR is much more versatile, it took me quite a long time to find the settings I really like.
I have EL34's in my DR, so it kinda does have a British/Marshall tone.
Rhythms have a lot of crunch and sound punchy and articulate very similar to a Marshall but the gain is just below the threshold that I like for leads. It just doesn't sound as tight as I would like.

Then I bought a Tube Screamer and NAILED the sound I was looking for.
I have it set with the gain on zero, level on 10, and the tone at 12:00.
I don't use it as a distortion pedal. The way it's set, it pushes the gain from the preamp just enough to tighten up the gain which also adds just the right enough sustain. It's transparent and doesn't affect the tone either. IMO, anyone who owns a DR would do themselves a great service by adding a Tube Screamer to their setup.

I have no experience with the Roadster.
