I recently purchased an Eventide Timefactor and Modfactor but seem to be experiencing some problems when I run them through the loop of my Mesa/Boogie Rect-o-verb combo. The loop on the amp is parallel and goes up to 90% wet. Most of the sounds are great, but some of them create some unwanted, loud noises. For instance, for the Timefactor’s preset 3:1 when I play a note it’ll go through its normal delay pattern but after a few seconds a loud, repetitive, lowpitched noise swells up. When I bypass the effect the sound goes away. A similar thing occurs on the Modfactor’s 2:1 preset. Rather than the phaser it’s supposed to produce, it just makes a loud, low-pitched, buzzing noise. These problems go away when I run the pedal up front, but I feel they sound much better when I run them through the loop (especially the delay after distortion).
I’m not sure what the problems but I feel it may me some kind of phase or oscilation issue produced by the parallel loop. If this is the case would it be prudent to do the serial loop mod on my Boogie? Eventide guys, is there any setting I can put the pedal in that may fix the issue? Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem with their modulations and loops?
