recording direct using lonestar head?

Has anyone tried recording direct using a lonestar head? Just wondering if you can get a good (great?) tone bypassing the speaker? Is it even possible? I'm just looking to get a great tone while keeping my home recording silent. I'm considering picking up a lonestar classic head and 1x12 cab for gigging and was wondering if I could get the same great tone recording silently... Thanks!
