So I was playing an open-air gig yesterday under a large gazebo-style tent tarp. My band and I had our gear set up under it and we were playing fine for about half an hour at this party. We take a set break to go inside and get food and whatnot, and it starts to rain.
Everyone's equipment was fine... except my boogie rig got rained on because of one side of the tarp sagging and spilling water onto my rig. Now, it wasn't heavy rain or anything but it definitely took me a while (10-15mins) to get it pretty dry. I grabbed a hair dryer and used it to dry off the power/pre tubes and tube sockets. None of the jacks seemed to be wet. Needless to say I didn't go back on stage with it (we had a backup guitar rig, a Peavey XXX with a Boogie 212).
I'm kind of wary of powering it up now... It seems pretty dry, but I'm going to hit it again with a blow-dryer just in case...
Any thoughts?
