I have to order this online. I am looking for a 6 space rack case and I don't want it to be too small. I've heard the skb ones could be snug. Can you guys recommend some specs, or a link to a case that will definitely accommodate the depth of the Triaxis?

Thanks,

Mike

I have a 17" (45cm) deep rack and it houses the TriAxis comfortably. Looking back I think it also would fit in a 15" (40cm) deep rack too, but just barely.

I have a 6u 10" depth from here that feels extremely solid. If you want a budget case, this is the brand I would go with.

For reference, I bought a mark IV rack mount from a member here, and he shipped it in said rack case. Both it and the case arrived in great condition, nothing bent or loose.

Mesa says the tri is 15.25", and cables will stick another 1.5"-2" off the back of that. Rack rails are usually slightly recessed, so there is some wiggle room, but I would look for rail to rail depth of 16" minimum

I posted this somewhere else in here, but the case below fits my Triaxis perfectly with no wasted space. It's tight enough so that I have to use right angled jacks to connect the Triaxis to the power amp and leave that hooked up when the lid is on, but I like the idea of no wasted space. Mines only a 4U but I assume the 6 is the same depth wise.

I'd recommend you consider getting two rack cases - one for the Triaxis and effects, and a smaller one just for the 2:90. A large rig in one case can be extremely heavy and you can wreck your back.

Holy **** now why didn't I think of that
