I plugged my Yamaha LLX6A in my Marshall JVM and while I liked it, there was too much amplification of the wrong things, like hand noise and pick noise etc. I kind of though maybe plugging directly into a tube poweramp (which the 2:90 supports) would be the better way of "tubing" an electro-acoustic...

I've been wondering about one thing though: do I keep the switch at "line"*, or put it to "instrument"?

*I'm no expert on pickups for electro-acoustics, but aren't they a kind of a preamp?

Tried both. Used instrument level, it was louder.

Sounded a bit duller than the active PA speaker I have, but it sounded very, very warm (bordering on muddy, but a turn of the Presence knob fixed that - also, I dipped the mids and upped the treble on my guitar's 3band). I had to null the "sub-pickups" my guitar has or else it would feed back really fast.

It was interesting experience. I still prefer the PA speaker though. Transfers the feel of playing an acoustic much better.
