I'm going to have quite a few questions, so I'll update this thread as necessary. All of my gear is on the way, so I want to be prepared for when it gets here.

Concerning connecting everything -

Connect the main outs on the quad (Chan. A and B) to the A and B inputs on the back of the 50/50, right? I'm not sure if the outputs on the Quad (Chan A and B) mean that it's the actual channels - like going from the Mark IIc half to the Mark III half, or if it's really just an extra output and everything on the Quad comes out of both the A and B channels.

About the 50/50 to the cab - the cab has only one 8ohm input, so that means I couldn't run both A and B speaker outputs from the 50/50 to the cab... which kind of leads me to think that I couldn't run both the Mark IIc and Mark III channels on the Quad and switch between them.

About the cab - if somehow I did end up using only one cable (8ohm jack), all 4 speakers would be powered of course. But about the two 4ohm jacks - if I were to somehow use the 4ohm jacks, would that mean I'd get both channels of the Quad working ok, but only two of the speakers on the cab work at the same time? Like, the top two speakers on the cab work for channel A/MarkIIc and the bottom two speakers work for channel B/Mark III?

I'm sure it's very easy, but it's really confusing me.

connect the main out a and b to the inputs a and b of the 50/50 - you´ll need normal signal cables, like your guitar cable.
connect the 50/50 A output 4 ohm to one of the 4 ohm plugs of the cab and the B output 4 ohm to the other 4 ohm plug of the cab. so your setup is connected in stereo and if you would use a stereoeffect unit, you´ll get a real stereo signal at the end. for example use a stereo chorus or pingpong delay.

every output of the quad deliveres the same signal. output a and b and send, if you don´t use any effects.
there is no different output used for the rhythm / lead1 and rhythm / lead2

Do as Joe says and you will be fine. You will be running a stereo rig using all the speakers in your quad box and all channels will work perfectly.

Think of A and B as left and right in a stereo spread. It has nothing to do with the 2 channels as Joe points out; they all feed A and B equally.

I also suggest reading the manual because I think it will clear a lot of issues up for you:

Thanks a lot for the replies, that just about cleared it up.

Though, I could very well just use the single 8ohm jack and get basically the same results as I don't plan to use stereo effects with it. Though, I'd be kidding myself if I said I'd never do it!

And just for quick reference, using the single 8ohm jack, or both of the 4ohm jacks will give me the same wattage/volume, correct? If so, I'll just run it stereo.

you can also use only one of the 8 ohm outputs of the 50/50 connecting to one 8 ohm input of the cab.
if you only use the 8 ohm output of channel A, turn down the volume knob of channel B and only insert the signal into channel A´s input of the 50/50.
you´ll only need one output from the quad pre, doesn´t matter which one you use.

but i would go with the dual wiring setup, using output A+B.

I'll be running this in my house, so would it be a good bet to run it mono/8oh so I won't blast everyone out :D If there's less power going to it, that might be a good thing since I'm in a fairly small place. Though, if the volume won't matter, I'll just run it stereo.

Thanks for the help!

doesn´t really matter if you run 4/4 ohm or only one 8 ohm output.
it´s still loud.
i would go with the 4/4 ohm variantion, but it won´t hurt your poweramp with only one side used, if you only run signal into one side and turn down the other.
