hello,
does anybody know if the mesa boogie dual rectifier solo head can be rewired/converted from 110v U.S. power to 240v power, without replacing the transformer?

i know some older mesa stuff u were able to do this....any information would be greatly appreciated.

i have some transformer, but it si not working very well for me....the sound is not what it should be + it's too much too carry that thing around too, beside guitar, amp, pedals..... And it's to expensive to me to buy new transformer and replace it, i leave in small country, we don't have any dealer in our country, even near by....

You can do it without changing transformer.A good proved technician shoul be able to do it.If you know any amp builder or anyone who does amp repairs in your country give it to him.

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on whether the power transformer has multiple voltage taps or not - not all do, I've come across at least a couple of Mesa amps that did not, as well as some that did. Sorry, I don't remember which way round Dual Rectifiers are, or whether it may vary by age/series/revision/original country of sale.

Opening up the amp should tell you in a couple of minutes whether it can be done or not, and it should only take about another couple of minutes to do it if it can be done.
