Hi.
I just bought a DOD OD pre-amp (yngve Malmsten signature) box (really cheap) and tested it in front of my different amps and I love using it on my main rigg (Mesa boogie dual recitifier 3ch). My setup is: I want everything stored in my rack unit and only one board in front of stage (Behringer fcb.... midi board). NOW, using this pre-amp on clean channel is......not good. I need my clean sound and do not want this unit in front of stage.

I would like to turn this unit on/off using my midi board. Is there any midi switch thingy that could solve this or do you guys have a (better) solution for me.
Any input would be great.

You just need a switcher. Voodoolabs makes a nice one. There are a lot more out there too. I think with the voodoo, you should be able to get rid of your behringer and just use the voodoo board. Or mabe your behringer could work with the voodoo switcher?

The GCX Audio Switcher or The RJM RG-16 are two good choices. You have several loops to configure and then you control the all thing on a midi floorboard.

There is also the K-Switch from Payne Labs who advertises on this board that may do what you need. http://payne-labs.com/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=22&Itemid=34

Without getting super technical if you know someone good with a soldering iron you could use the switches on the FCB to control a relay to bypass the pedal. Your looking at about 20 dollars in parts plus a case of beer.

Simple but very effective that K-Switch. Good advice for kind of simple midi rigs.

Do I get the same effect connecting it to the effect loop as I do when I connect in front of the amp?
I have an Axxes CF4 and it works perfect. My question was more if there is a way to turn on/off a stomp-box in front of the amp (guitar->cabel->box->cable->amp input). I want this box in my rack and only my Behringer in front of the stage.

No, the signal in the front of the amp is different. You leave all the pedals in the rack on and with the audio switcher you configure the loops the way you want. Read the axess manual. Watch the video on the Payne labs/K-Switch site to understand the options you can get.

I will try to explain my problem again :)
First, my setup works perfect with midi, axxes etc.
I really want the OD pedal in front of the amp and be able to turn it on/off using a midi switch controlled by my FCB1010.
Also, i do not want the pedal in front of the stage.
Anyone know how I can solve this, or am I missunderstanding the whole plot?

I think you misunderstand or don't understand what these switchers/loopers do. The link provided in the above posts to this http://www.voodoolab.com/gcx.htm shows you exactly what you need to do. Scroll down the page and open the pdf files that show quite a few examples. PDF no.1 shows you exactly what you want. Place the pedal in the first loop (or one of the loops) and you can kick the loop in or out. The rest of your effects can be in other loops and you can even use two of the loops to go through your amps effect loop.

Another looper is this: http://www.rocktron.com/products/controllers/patchmateloop8/

With these loopers you program them to have one loop on, others off, 5on-3off, 2on-6off or any other combination. All done via midi and your FCB controller.

It's all loop de loop. Simple. Really.
