Hi,
Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question, but I have read the friendly manual several times and still can't figure this out...

I have a 3 ch. Dual Rectifier (about 5 years old so not the newest generation).

I do NOT use my effects loop; that is, nothing is plugged into the send or return jacks as I use all my effects in front of the amp (and do not plan to use the fx loop).

If I am not really using the FX loop, what should I have the ASSIGN, SEND and MIX knobs set to? If I increase the SEND knob value it seems like the amp's master volume goes up (which I guess makes sense). But if I have SEND set to, say, 12 o'clock am I not limiting the maximum volume of the amp, by constraining the master volume & solo controls? I can't figure out how the SEND interacts with the master volume/solo controls.

Yes, yes I know... "this one goes to eleven". The sad thing is I may not even be as smart as Nigel Tufnel so there you go.
