Question about a Triple Rec

Hey Guys,
I found a great deal on a Triple Rec, but the fact that he says it needs some work kinda worries me. Anyway here are the symptoms, and if you guys could give me some feedback on what you think it would be much appreciated. It says the tubes have a purple glow to them and that the amp only plays at super low volume (I'm assuming it only puts out low volume despite what the volume is set at). I was wondering if maybe it could be because it needs a retube or if it sounds like something worse. Let me know guys.

Wow.. serious case of bad tubes there.

Low volume is a symptom of preamp tubes for one thing. I would have this amp checked out by a Mesa authorized tech before going forward with a deal.. it might be a 'good deal' for a reason

If it's online I would just pass on it if it were me personally, you get what you pay for. There are a LOT of shady people on ebay looking to off a busted amp. I've seen it happen too many times.
