So I'm thinking of putting a rack together again. I have the chance to pick up a 50/50 and a quad preamp, I already own the studio pre and a mark IV.
I'm hoping to achieve a good fused tone with the Quad and Pre, maybe for a lead tone, and a really good clean tone fusing the mark IV and Quad.
Does anyone know if the studio pre + quad + 50/50 is a good combination?
I heard someone say that the Studio pre sounds thicker then the quad and the quad sounds like a mark IIC+ , is the 50/50 a choice for the quad + studio?
