or you could pull all the tubes and sit down waiting for a chord
Sorry it was an easy joke
I don´t recomend under any circunstance to quit tubes, if you want less volume turn down your settings
First of all because as I supposed you don´t really know what tubes you need to quit ( you are right tubes are paired, but did you think that outter tubes are of different phases???, what happens if they are from the same phase????, even you are asking about the the rectifier tubes, I don´t have the schematics of the TR here but I suppose that the rectifier tubes are not only property of power tubes, there are too many elements that are feeded in the amp after the ac rectified)
Second because that is a forum to share opinions, the best thing is asking to boogie, imagine that I said to you " yes dude, quit all the tubes and then get the amp in the river " a week later you could say " hey little *******, you broke my amp with your opinion " so think that in a forum are some people that known a lot, and other that known less if a newbee in that matter say to you to do that and the amp is broken did you think that anybody will be responsible???
If you are only arguing because you are curious the answer is that quitting tubes theorical only reduce the tube wattage, but there are a lot of other methods to reduce it, since electronics mod till lowering the volume or gain pots.
I don´t recomend under any circumstance to quit tubes, try to get it with another ways first
