has any body played prs johny hiland guitar its surposed to be the prs tele desinged by johny hiland i love prs guitar but there pick ups don't work for me i play country rock and prs pick ups just don't have that twang you need for country

Always wanted a Maple Fretboard 24 fret PRS, I saw it, tried it a few times and while very nice, I just wasn't floored by it. The salesman showed me a Fender Highway One Tele and that was the ticket. Beautiful curly maple fretboard, very snappy, twangy and responsive. They had about 7 of them and only this one was so snappy, twangy and responsive. Its one third the price and IMO sounds better, but try several of them. I can afford any guitar I want but it always seems that more $$$ does not = a better guitar. What did all these great country players play anyway..Tele's
Gatton, Brent Mason, Hiland, Buchanon.......

subwayrocket69 you know i wounder that i was trying to find a tele sound in a prs guitar i love the guitars but you are right the price does not always count.i have a fender tele deluxe plus with three lace sensor p.u and i just love the sound i get out of it but i have had it for nine years and i am looking for some thing different[/quote]
