So I turned on my amp but my power light did not go on, and only my big tube (power tube I think) is on..the rest of the my tubes did not turn on. They are fairly new tubes and I was just using my amp about a half hour ago and there were no signs that made me think the tubes were failing. It seems to me like maybe something got knocked loose while transporting it, but I just don't know. Please help me out if you know what could be wrong. Thanks!

The filament supply to the preamp and power tubes is dead - the jewel light is also fed from this, but the rectifier (large tube) filament is separate which is why it's still lighting up.

If you're lucky, a wire has come off and it will just need to be soldered back in the correct place. If you're unlucky, the filament winding in the power transformer is blown and you will need it replaced - this is expensive. There are no other possible causes, as there's no filament fuse on this amp.

Thanks for the response...So what if it is working fine now at my house again? Do you suspect its a wire that needs to be re-soldered, or is it possible that the filament supply could come back to life temporarily before it dies again. OR, could the amount of power going into multiple outlets in my drummers basement when we practice be the problem?

No, it can't be a supply issue - that would make the jewel light and *all* the tubes glow dim. No light/all tubes apart from rectifier dead/rectifier on is conclusively a filament supply fault. If it started working again it's a loose connection somewhere, where the transformer wires are soldered - but the bad news is that it doesn't completely rule out a fault inside the power transformer, there are two solder joints where the external wires join to the coil itself and these can occasionally fail if the transformer overheats - the copper winding wire itself never burns out in such a low-voltage/high-current winding. You still can't get at these to repair them. Hopefully it will be one of the external connections...
