Ok so my Mark V head has been acting a little weird lately. Yesterday when I turned the amp on to warm up I could some clicking real fast in the amp... like the channels were being switched real fast but wasnt switching channels. I made sure the footswitch chord was plugged in good so it wasnt that. It made the channel switching noises for about 2 mins and then went back to normal.
Ok so TODAY I warmed her up and then switched it on and I got some bad static noises on all channels for about 2 mins. It didnt sound good at all. The static noise slowly died down and the amp went back to normal again.
So I'm SCARED ITS GONNA MESS UP DURING A GIG! I know that tubes amps sometimes make crazy noises and do certain things for short period of time that even the amp builders cant explain but I want to make sure. Could it be the phase inverter tube? Any other tube? Surely it's not the switching matrix of my amp since this thing is only year and a half old. What do you guys think?
And sorry if this topic has been posted many times before. It's just that the static was so load on all channels for about 2 mins that it definitely wasn't right.
