Presence and output on Rectoverb

Guys, my friend has a series 1 ROV and the presence control does almost nothing on the clean channel. I also noticed that the output knob does not give much of a change in volume regardless of where it's set. The output at least adds a little more gain but overall is almost unnoticeable. Could this be a tube thing? The reverb is also VERY weak....more so than on my series II.

Regarding the reverb:
try little bit of twisting of the jacks of the reverb tank cable. Or look if the reverb tank is ok at the first place. I had a defect tank; one of the three springs has sprung. So I had to replace that. After replacing I had no to little reverb. This was caused by bad contact between tje cable jacks and the plugs on the chassis. Sometimes I even get a loud noise, just a matter twisting on that jack again....
