I am currently running mine with a Simul295 w/front mounted Presence controls...but wanted to ask around about the 2:90(is the switching mods,deep/modern, really adding anything?). and also, how about the 2:100.
Dont get me wrong,I love what the Simul295 does and the abuility to switch to class A with the EL34's just adds to the versitility of this powerhouse amp.
Any thoughts?
Thanks ,

I'd probably hold on to the 295.
The 2:90 is great though and supposively "voiced" to work with the TriAxis.
They are both Simul (running class A and A/B at the same time).

The 295 can do EL 34's (why you'd want to do that is beyond me but different strokes for different folks).
and the 2:90 has the three modes (Deep, Modern, 1/2 drv.. which I seldom if ever use)..
I think the amp sounds great with those modes off..

Thanks for the reply Brian. I wasnt about to dump the 295 ,but wanted to hear someones thoughts about the 290. You know two amps couldnt hurt...*grin*!
The option to run it with the 34's in class A is a bonus.
Turns the power to half and gives it some compressed bark.
