Hey, gonna record some things tomorrow and want to use a fuzz pedal as a boost.

Up to now I've used it straight into the clean channel as that gave me less problems with feedback/overload of preamp or whatever. But it gets a bit too fuzzy and kinda neglects the rest of the amp. :p

Is it possible to use it as a boost on the dist channel to keep that Mesa sound, yet make it fatter and creamier? I've tried, but the preamp seems to overload even at Gain and Master at 9 o'clock and the two tones never really blend together. Perhaps the power amp will squash them together if pushed hard enough?

I will, off course, sit down and try different sounds out but would like to have a rough idea on how to connect and set things up as I can't disturb the neighbours all day.

Fuzz always works better with a clean signal, it sounds like crap when combined with another distortion source! You'll want an OD for boosting a distorted signal.
