I think it's the fact they come with EVM12l's will get you about 100 more for it. Without the original EVM in there they shouldn't be getting more than a new one.

I am always suspect of auctions that have a lot of bidding action early on. I think they have friends bump up the bidding in a lot of cases.
Most of those that sell are re-listed and the process keeps going until they hook someone.
I see that a lot on music store auctions. That may or may not be the case. That price is extremely high for a thiele.

Does it have the old style tolex and chrome corners? Someone may looking to match one to their Mark III.
Likely there's a bidding war going on between just two bidders. I stay away from those. It's not a rational thought process, they just want to beat the other guy. It's a testosterone thing, you know. :lol:
