Popping sound when switching channels

I recently bought a Dual Rectifier and noticed that there is a "popping" sound when switching between channels with the footswitch. Is this normal? I've researched on the internet and seen that others have had this similar problem. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks

Yes its normal. While still on standby, cycle the footswitch through the channels.

Thanks! I'll try it tonight. Also, it has the original tubes from when it was new, I'm planning on putting in new tubes soon, but could old tubes cause it to pop as well?

the guy before me is right on!!! cycle through the foot switch when warming the amp up on standby every time you play and it wont make the popping sound again for that session, i never found out why it does it though ,so if any one knows id like to hear it......
